| I have read some articles regarding about using organic materials such as bamboo replacing the materials commonly used in creating computer peripherals. As a matter of fact, most peripherals are made of plastic which is one of the cause of global warming.
According to greenupgrader.com, Bamboo is a rapidly renewable material, easily recyclable, strong and flexible so it makes a great replacement for plastic.
I'm not quite so sure about this. Do i need to evaluate or compare peripherals made from plastic to eco-friendly bamboo?? Please I need some suggestions and comments for my topic.. Thanks for help... |

| I think you have to first compare plastic and bamboo... the properties, cost and etc. Then you have to compare the efficiency, performance, price and etc of computer peripherals made from bamboo and those made from plastic. |

this is interesting, since bamboo does not rot easily. but are you going to make the peripherals yourself or do you have some place where you can buy them?
i think the issue here is the e-waste generated from using plastics and other metals in computer peripherals. so if you are going to replace them with bamboo, i'm not sure what you should use to measure or evaluate them... sorry.
but if you can research more about this, it will be a very good research. not to mention that bamboo is TATAK PINOY, too! |

| There are some properties of plastic which is not present on bamboo.. like decomposition... bamboo easily decompose...

| very unique idea..but we all know a bamboo will rot compared to the plastic...jeje..peace de..but i think you just have to discussed the advantages and disadvantages when using a plastic or bamboo.. |

| Thanks for your suggestions and comments... @kate dizon: make it?? unfortunately, I think they are not available in Philippine markets... "Bamboo is naturally flexible, durable, and extremely strong; laminates can be applied to the material to shape or strengthen it further. It grows rapidly and abundantly, and could theoretically serve as an ecologically renewable resource for building laptop (and I suppose desktop) chassis."http://arstechnica.com/hardware/news/2007/12/asus-evaluates-bamboo-as-potential-laptop-chassis.ars "Bamboo, of course, is environmentally friendly, very cost efficient, proven to be stronger than steel (in the sense of durability, strength, toughness, flexibility, etc.) and there is already a large quantity available from farms throughout the world. That’s not even mentioning the fact that some of its shoots are edible, and that these shoots are extremely healthy. The only disadvantage that comes to mind with this concept is… nothing, actually. The bamboo case will be easily replaceable, and won’t choke the earth when it gets thrown out because it’s biodegradable."http://www.gadgetell.com/tech/comment/asus-tells-us-dont-panic-its-organic-with-new-bamboo-computer-concepts/ |

| I really like the idea..but I guess this research would be a little bit difficult but still if you want to pursue I'll be one of those many persons who will be excited with the output of your research.. |
